• A failure to follow the operating instructions or safety instructions can lead to personal
injuries or material damages.
• Only qualified persons may operate, perform maintenance on or use the device.
• The safety advice must not be lost and should be kept in a location that is accessible
to every user.
• The device must be serviced regularly.
• If repairs have been performed and parts had to be replaced, this must be documented.
• If the device is found to have a defect or deficiency, it must not be used until the
problem has been eliminated.
• Only use genuine spare parts for repairs.
• Wear appropriate protective clothing to protect yourself against burns.
Protect your eyes by wearing eye protection.
• Wear snug-fitting protective work clothing.
• Keep soldering tools away from children.
• Only work in dry areas that are free of flammable or explosive materials.
• Never use on live parts.
• Keep all flammable objects, fluids and gases away from the hot soldering iron.
• Never touch the tip of the hot soldering iron and do not try to remove solder from the
tip using your hands.
• Harmful vapours are generated during soldering and when machining plastics. Make
sure you have good ventilation or a suitable fume hood.
• Make sure that they switch is in the OFF position when the soldering iron is not being
used and do not leave the device unattended.
• The tip remains hot for several minutes after use. Make sure that the tip has cooled
down before putting the soldering iron away.
• Do not take the battery apart and do not modify it.
The battery contains safety and protective devices that, if damaged, may cause
the battery to generate heat, rupture or ignite.
• Do not try to repair your soldering iron if it malfunctions.
