the threaded hole at the rear of the machine base
directly behind the vice base. (See Fig. C3)
2) Reposition the vice fence with the located threaded
holes. Align the bolt hole of the vice fence with the holes
on the machine base and insert hex head bolts in. (See
Fig. C4)
3) Check and adjust the cutting angle and securely tighten
two bolts with the supplied spanner.
4. QUICK LOCK-RELEASE VICE (SEE FIG.
D1, D2)
Your cut-off machine is equipped with a quick lock-release
vice system as standard equipment. With this feature you
are able to open and close the vice quickly without repetitive
turning of the vice handle.
1) Open the quick lock-release lever as shown in Fig. D1.
Then you can slide the clamping spindle forwards or
backwards to a desired position. (See Fig. D1)
2) Close the quick lock-release lever to lock the clamping
spindle. (See Fig. D2)
NOTE: You can also adjust the clamping spindle by
turning the clamping spindle handle clockwise or counter-
clockwise.
5. ADJUSTABLE POSITIVE DEPTH STOP
(SEE FIG. E)
The depth stop bolt is threaded into the base of the machine
at the rear. By raising and lowering the depth stop bolt
with the spanner (not supplied) you can control how far the
cutting disc travels when the machine handle is depressed.
To adjust the cutting depth, using spanner to turn the depth
stop bolt counterclockwise or clockwise to raise or lower
the bolt.
This feature is particularly useful:
To increase disc travel as the cutting disc wears.
To limit travel of the cutting disc, especially useful after
installation of new cutting disc.
WARNING: Correctly adjust the depth
scale so that the disc can not exceed
the bottom plane of the base when cutting
the workpiece.
6. SWITCH ON / OFF (SEE FIG. F)
Your switch is locked off to prevent accidental starting.
Depress the lock off button then the on/off switch and
release the lock off button. Your switch is now on. To switch
off, just release the on/off switch.
7. CUTTING (SEE FIG. G)
Important safety rules
Please ensue that the correct safety equipment is worn
at all times when using this product. Approved safety eye
goggles and heavy duty work gloves should be worn. The
workpiece to be cut should be held firmly in the vice fence
20
so it cannot move during the cutting operation and never
place the operator's hand on the machine base while
machine is in cutting operation.
1) Secure the machine in place to prevent machine
movement or tipping during the cutting procedure.
2) Firmly secure the workpiece to be cut using the
machines vice fence.
3) Start the machine by fully depressing the on/off switch
and allow the cutting disc to come up to full speed
before contacting workpiece.
4) Slowly press the machine handle downwards until the
cutting disc contacts the workpiece being cut. Use a
steady and even pressure to obtain a uniform cut. Never
FORCE the disc into the material.
5) When the cut is complete, release the on/off switch and
allow the disc to stop before raising it to the full open
position.
WARNING! Large, circular, or irregularly
shaped material may require additional
means of clamping to be secured in place
adequately for cutting .Use "C" clamps and
blocks to hold material securely. Failure to
comply could result in serious personal
injury.
DANGER!
Do not touch the workpiece until it cools
down or you will be burned! Failure to heed
this warning will result in serious personal
injury.
MAINTENANCE
Remove the plug from the socket before
carrying out any adjustment, servicing or
maintenance.
There are no user serviceable parts in your power tool.
Never use water or chemical cleaners to clean your power
tool. Wipe clean with a dry cloth. Always store your power
tool in a dry place. Keep the motor ventilation slots clean.
Keep all working controls free of dust. Occasionally you may
see sparks through the ventilation slots. This is normal and
will not damage your power tool.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by
the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified
persons in order to avoid a hazard.
Make sure the tool operates properly. Periodically check
screws and bolts for tightness. Apply dry lubricant monthly
to the points listed to extend machine life.
