The sequence of risks mentioned below follows the sequence of installation activities. The risks mentioned
are those that usually affect the motorized door / gate installations; however, depending on the different situa-
tions additional risks should be considered.
TYPE OF RISKS
Mechanical structural risks and
wear risks.
Loss of stability and falling pieces.
Impact and crushing on the lower
closing edge (figure 1, risk A).
Crushing, dragging and cut in the
secondary opening edge (figure 1,
risk B).
Danger of elevation.
Impact, crushing, cut on the sliding
side guides of the mobile leaf (figure
1, risk C).
A wicket door incorporated in the
sectional door (figure 1, risk E).
Dragging, snag and cut caused by the
shape of the movable blade (figure 1,
risk D).
Electrical and electromagnetic
compatibility risks.
Direct or indirect contacts. Disper-
sion of electrical energy.
Risks of electromagnetic compatibi-
lity.
RISK ANALYSIS AND POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS
EVALUATION CRITERIA AND SOLUTIONS TO ADOPT
*Check the strength of the structure (columns, hinges and leaves) according to the
forces applied by the engine.
Fix the engine perfectly, using suitable materials.
*Check if the door is equipped with fall-protection systems (independent and
additional to the suspension system).
*The engine has an adjustable electronic anti-crush system that reverses the maneuver
in case of obstacle.
*For swinging doors, It is recommended to add a protective rubber to cushion a
possible impact, as in figure 1.
*If the door opens in a public area or uses automatic closing, It is recommended to
install a pair of additional photocells at a height of approx. 50 cm.
*Check that the opening hole height is> 2500 mm; Or
*Apply protections that prevent introducing the hands (for example a profile of
rubber).
*Check that the door surface is smooth so that it doesn't have snagging or cutting
points; or
*Check that the door can't lift a weight of 40 kg.
*Side sliding guides (necessary for system operation) must have a minimum opening
and mustn't have sharp edges.
*IMPORTANT: Despite this, it's possible to put your hands into the sliding guides.
Therefore, it is preferible to put the appropriate signals on the sliding guides and
brackets.
*Check that the sectional door can't move if the wicket door incorporated is not
completely closed. For example, with an emergency microswitch connected to the
engine emergency stop.
*Remove or protect sharp edges, or protruding parts (for example with rubber covers
or rubber profiles).
*IMPORTANT: Gaps mustn't permit finger insertion (≤ 8 mm).
*Use components and materials with CE mark.
*Make electrical connections, network connections, earth connections and the
corresponding controls, in accordance with current regulations and as indicated in the
installation manual of the motor.
*Use components with CE mark. Make the installation as indicated in the installation
manual of the motor.
