3.3 Carrying out a crimping connection with the Y39E1BHE remote control head
Connect the crimping head to the Standard male connector of 3/8 " NPT and to the 700 bars pump.
Consult the user's manual of the pump in order to carry out a crimping connection.
4. MAINTENANCE
4.1 Replacing hydraulic fluid
Follow these instructions to replace the hydraulic fluid in your Y39E1E tool.
NEVER service or adjust a tool that is pressurized.
Servicing a pressurized tool may result in severe personal
injury. To avoid injury, fully retract the ram by rotating the
reservoir handle counter-clockwise until it stops.
1. Fully retract the ram by rotating the reservoir handle counter-
clockwise until it stops.
2. Place the head of the tool in a vise with the handles in an upright
position.
3. Remove the cap screw located between the bladder and reservoir
handle.
4. Unscrew the reservoir handle and remove to reveal the filler port
screw, if not, add hydraulic fluid (never use hydraulic brake
fluid).
WARNING
5. Bleed air from the system by advancing the ram
with short strokes of the lever handle. Retracting
the ram will force air from the system. Retop with
fluid.
6. Replace the filler port screw, the reservoir handle,
and the set screw in that order to reassemble the
tool.
4.2 Preventive maintenance
A normal maintenance ensures a long life of both the
Y39E1E tool and the Y39E1BHE remote control head.

8. Move the tool to the next
crimp position and repeat
steps 5 through 6.
9. When the connector has
been completely crimped,
retract the ram (step 7) and
rotate the reservoir handle
counter-clockwise to retract
the ram fully and remove the
tool from the connector.
