3.1 Die insertion and removal

Note: The following example corresponds to the installation of dies in the Y39E1E crimping tool, please, follow the
same steps in order to install the dies in the remote control head Y39E1BHE.

The Y39E1E crimping tool and the Y39E1BHE remote
control head both require the UADP1 adapter for installing
"U" dies. Otherwise, only dies according to NFC standard
can be installed.
The "U" dies are identical halves in outer dimensions, either
hall can be installed in the head or ram position. The
UADP1 adapter is required for installing the upper die.
Clean both die locations in order to make a correct die
UADP1 Adapter
installation.
1.- Indentor holder.
2.- Guides. Guides for central alignment of the adaptor die.
3.- Button die. Positive push die locks.
4.- Quick disconnect hydraulic fitting.
3.1.1 Installing UADP1 adapter
Install the UADP1 adapter into the central guide of the
Y39E1E head.
Push the adaptor vertically until it reaches the centre on
the head.
Once the adaptor is already placed at the centre of the
head, displace horizontally the adaptor until reaches the
upper part of the head.
The UADP1 adapter is already installed into the
Y39E1E.
3.1.2 Installation of "U" dies
Follow the next steps in order to install the "U" dies.
In order to install the lower die, displace it by the guides
until reaches the lock pin. Unblock it by pushing the die
button, placed in the lower part of the head and keep
installing the die until it is hold by the lock pin.
