1. Introduction
The ECO 6/16 thermoreactor is used for Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) analysis.
The instrument allows simple and easy programming of time and temperature.
The working time can be set up to 999 minutes.
The working temperature can be set up to 200 °C for ECO 6 and up to 165 °C for ECO 16.
Through the digital display, it is possible to monitor the test at any time, with the analysis time constantly shown.
The unit automatically shuts down when the analysis time expires, whilst safety is of primary importance.
The ECO 6 offers the possibility to process 6 test tubes Ø 42 mm.
Dedicated accessories allow using 18 test tubes Ø 16 mm or 6 test tubes Ø 22 mm.
The ECO 16 offers the possibility to process 14 tubes Ø 16 mm and 2 test tubes Ø 22 mm.

➢ Check the integrity of the unit after unpacking

Installation
➢ Place the unit on a non-flammable surface
➢ Make sure that the technical specification of the unit and the power supply line is the same
➢ Make sure the electrical network is grounded
➢ Make sure that the main switch is on position "0" (OFF)
➢ Connect the instrument to an easily accessible socket (compliant with the current safety norms), using only the
provided power supply cable
Note: keep the power supply cable far away from the heating block.
