Open the buckle and place the waist belt around the hips

Close buckle safely

Fasten the buckle securely and adjust the waist strap to fit tightly
>>> The loose end of the waist strap can be fixed using
the adjuster

Wear RESTUBE on your right, so that the trigger is easily accessi-
ble with your left hand
4.1.2 Harness attachment

NOTICE
When attaching to a harness, make sure that the functionality of the harness is not affected
(quick release, locking).
RESTUBE cannot guarantee that our product can attach to every harness in every way due to
the wide variations in harnesses. The RESTUBE sports3 may be attached to a harness in dif-
ferent ways. In the following, 3 ways are introduced. Each user must decide on the optimal
attachment for his purposes. In any attachment case, the RESTUBE logo must face outward,
so that the pocket can open without difficulty.The trigger must be easily accessible and face
downward or off to the side.

Attachment to the harness hook belt
The pocket may be worn vertically or horizontally, though vertically is recommended.
•
Remove buckle and strap adjuster from RESTUBE waist strap
•
Remove RESTUBE waist strap from strap positioner
•
Detach harness hook belt from harness on one side
•
Insert harness hook belt into the vertical or horizontal strap positioner of
RESTUBE's X-strap system depending on its length, width, and your choice of
alignment.
> The X-strap system allows you to insert harness hook belts 25, 30, 40, and
50mm wide in both directions.
> When attached vertically, the trigger must face downward

Attach the harness hook belt to the harness as usual

Horizontal attachment to the harness
The additional strap is necessary for harness attachment. The pocket may be worn
vertically or horizontally, though vertically is recommended.
•
Remove the RESTUBE waist strap from the pocket as in (1).
•
Insert the additional strap vertically or horizontally through the strap po-
sitioner
•
Pass additional strap through a safety loop on the side (if present) and pass
once around the harness
•
Slide adjuster onto the additional strap to better define the position

Attachment to the back of the harness with 2 safety loops
Depending on the size of the harness, this may be done with the waist strap or with
the additional strap for harness fixation for small harnesses. The pocket may be worn
vertically or horizontally, though horizontal attachment is recommended.
•
If working with a small harness and the additional strap, remove the
RESTUBE waist strap from the pocket as in (1).
•
Remove the adjuster from the additional strap
•
Insert the waist strap vertically or horizontally through the strap positioner
•
Fix the adjuster of the additional strap to the waist strap behind the pocket
•
Attach the buckle to the waist strap
•
Pass each end of the RESTUBE waist belt through one loop
•
Close the buckle
•
Make sure that the trigger is easily accessible
> If this is not the case, move the pocket sideways on the harness accordingly
4.2 How do I trigger RESTUBE?
NOTICE
Triggering and inflation is only guaranteed in water because buoyancy
pulls the buoy from the pocket! Duration until completely filled may be
lengthened when triggered on land.
•
Grab the trigger with your left hand and pull away from the body
firmly
•
The buoy will unfold within seconds
4.3 How do I use RESTUBE?
WARNING
Do not unscrew CO2 cartridge while in use! After triggering, the CO2
cartridge is very cold. Avoid direct skin contact. Use the provided
protective sleeve for the CO2 cartridge.
•
Tuck fully inflated buoy under your arms
•
Adopt a stable position to keep airways free
•
If you need help, use the trigger as a whistle
>>> You can also wave with the buoy to call attention to
yourself
•
Remain calm until help on site or self-help is possible
