2.2.2
Permanent obligations
The following are permanent obligations for the operator:
Water, health & safety, and building law regulations are met
National regulations concerning health & safety, accident prevention, environmental protection and
handling hazardous substances are implemented
All other national rules and regulations are implemented
Misuse is prevented
Anyone who works with the product uses suitable protective equipment
Anyone who works with the product is qualified for his area of responsibility
Workers are trained regularly, at least twice a year, in order to keep safety and hazard knowledge up to
date
Clear responsibilities are assigned to employees (e.g. operation, maintenance, repair)
Maintenance and service intervals are adhered to
Damage is repaired promptly and professionally
Only accessories approved by DENIOS and original replacement parts are used
Illegible or missing symbols or identification plates are replaced immediately
2.3
Personnel requirements
Risk-free working is only guaranteed, when only specially qualified workers use, maintain or repair the product.
Persons undergoing training may only be permitted to work with the product, if a qualified person is constantly
supervising the work. The following points must be strictly observed:
Observe the regulations for occupational safety and accident prevention
Always use the product in accordance with the intended use
Follow the manufacturer's operating instructions
Follow the operator's instructions
Report any damage or faults to a supervisor and have them repaired immediately
Only carry out work which has been specifically instructed
Never exceed the set responsibilities
2.4
Special safety instructions
The German regulations BGV D8 (hoisting, lifting and winching equipment) and BGV B1 (handling hazardous
substances) and BGR 500 (operation of lifting appliances with load suspension devices) are to be observed!
The drum to be lifted must be dry and free of oil or grease!
Only transport the raised drum at walking speed!
CAUTION
Entrapment and crushing hazard!
When drums are turned there is a risk of entrapment or crushing!
Ensure a sufficient safety clearance!
Check and observe the load capacity of the crane or lifting device!
