OPERATION
INSTALLING/REMOVING BATTERY PACK
See Figure 1, page 10.
To install battery pack:
 Align the ribs on the battery pack with the grooves in the
radio's battery port and place the battery pack in the radio
as shown.
 Make sure the latches on the battery pack snap into
place and the battery pack is secured to the radio before
beginning operation.
NOTE: Leaving the battery pack connected for long periods
of time will drain the battery pack. Always disconnect battery
pack after use.
To remove battery pack:
 Depress the latches on both sides to release the battery
pack from the radio.
NOTE: Always remove battery pack from radio when not
in use.
LCD DISPLAY
See Figure 2, page 10.
NOTE: The illustrations of the LCD display shown in this
manual are only examples of the frequencies you may see
on your radio and are not the exact frequencies that you
may choose to listen to.
When the radio is not connected to a power supply, the LCD
display will remain off. If the radio is connected to a power
supply and in the ON position, LEDs will light the display
when user is operating the radio. You can view the frequency,
and settings in use on the LCD display.
NOTE: Always disconnect battery packs after use to prevent
draining the battery pack.
TURNING THE RADIO ON/OFF
See Figure 2, page 10.
Push the POWER button to turn the radio ON or OFF.
ADJUSTING THE VOLUME
See Figure 2, page 10.
To increase the volume: press the (+) button.
To decrease the volume: press the (-) button.
MODE SELECTION
See Figure 2, page 10.
There are three modes to choose from:
 FM mode
 AM mode
 BLUETOOTH
: Listening to audio from BLUETOOTH
®
capable devices
NOTE: This mode can be accessed directly by using the
" " button.
When turned on, the radio will return to the last mode
that was used if the AC/DC adaptor or battery was not
disconnected. In the event all power is lost to the radio, the
display will default to FM mode.
AM/FM TUNING
See Figure 2, page 10.
The AM/FM button is used to tune the radio to the desired
frequency. The selected frequency is then displayed on the
LCD.
 Press the left or right arrow button to tune to different
frequencies when the radio is in AM or FM mode.
 Press and release the left arrow button to tune to a lower
frequency. Press and release the right arrow button to
tune to a higher frequency.
Briefly push either button (not press and hold) to tune one
frequency step at a time.
 To SEEK, press and hold desired arrow button for
1 second to tune to the next frequency with clear
reception.
STORING A PRESET IN MEMORY
See Figure 2, page 10.
The memory feature saves up to 20 frequencies as presets
in the radio's memory. You can save 10 frequencies in FM
mode and 10 in AM mode.
To store a frequency in memory:
 Tune to the frequency you want to save.
 Press and hold the PRESET button for 1 second. A
memory location number will blink on and off.
 Press either arrow button to scroll through the preset
positions.
 Press the PRESET button to store the frequency in the
selected memory location.
