5.4 CHOOSING AND MONITORING THE TARGET PULSE

WARNING! Heart rate monitoring systems may be inaccurate.
Overexercising may result in serious injury or death. If you feel faint stop exercising
immediately.
The pulse rate in BPM ('Beats per Minute') indicates very well if you are training according to your target
and your current personal fitness level. The BPMs for the targets depend not at least on the age. You
should monitor your pulse in a suitable way.
For heart rate measurement you can put on a heart rate belt or a heart rate wristband.
Select a guide value for your target pulse as follows:
Select your age in the graphic on the right.
Below, your age-typical maximum pulse (MHR) is shown as an estimated value.
The Selection graph A allows
to determine a Target pulse
range.
From your age value, go
up into the colour field
which corresponds to your
training target.
Then go straight to the left
and read the target pulse
range from the scale.
In any case: Check if the determined target pulse suits your needs. If not, re-adjust it until you've found
your individual optimum value.

5.5 OPTIONAL: SELECTING PERMANENT LIGHT COLOR

INormally, the computer determines the light color of the LEDs depending on pedaling power or pulse.
Alternatively, you can permanently set a light color for the current workout:
Switch on the device. Then press the knob for 3 seconds. Color" appears on the display.
Turn the knob until the desired color is displayed. Then press the knob briefly to confirm.

5.6 MONITORING / ADJUSTING TRAINING WITH DISPLAY-KNOB

If the SPORTSTECH LIVE APP is installed and active on your cell phone or tablet, your Speedbike will
automatically connect to the app when it is turned on. If your Speedbike cannot find a mobile device
with an app, it will display a QR code on the display knob for download..
If necessary, install the SPORTSTECH LIVE APP on your mobile device.
Then, in any case, position your mobile device near the speedbike.
Start your workout. The current training values are shown on the display knob. Press the knob briefly
to display other values.
If necessary,change the training resistance by turning the knob.
Never overexert yourself!
