There are many suitable additives for the spa. Some are necessary
to compensate for out-of-balance water, some aid in cosmetic wa-
ter treatment and others simply alter the feel or smell of the water.
Your dealer can advise you on the use of these additives.
CAUTION: Do not use chlorine tablets (Trichlor) in your
spa: this chemical can have an extremely corrosive effect
on certain materials in the spa. Damage caused by use
of this chemical, or improper use of any chemicals, is
not covered under the spa's warranty.
CLEARRAY™ Water Purification System
CLEARRAY Water Purification System is exclusive technology
utilizing natural ultraviolet technology to eliminate waterborne
bacteria, viruses, and algae in portable spas. The ultraviolet light
otherwise know as UV-C or germicidal light inactivates the mi-
croorganisms disrupting the DNA so that it cannot reproduce and
is considered lifeless. CLEARRAY is plumbed in-line with your
filtration system. After the water is drawn from the pump, filter,
and heater it is then directed though the CLEARRAY system. Wa-
ter passes through an ultraviolet light energy that treats and
disinfects the water. The water is then pumped back into the s-
pa giving you crystal clear water instantly. The system has a bal-
last that is the power supply for the purification system; it has
two LED indicator lights the green indicating incoming power
flow and the red indicating the system is properly working.
CLEARRAY is standard for all models.
Note: The CLEARRAY System only runs when the circulation
pump is running and shuts off when either jets pump is manu-
ally activated during spa use. The system will remain off for 5
minutes after both jets pumps time out or are manually turned
off, then resume operations if the circulation pump is pro-
grammed to run.
After a year the lamp bulb must be replaced. If the UV timer has
been programmed correctly a message will appear on the LED
display when the time allotted has expired. In order to clear the
"blb" message a new UV lamp bulb needs to be installed and the
timer must be reset.
Conditions and error messagess
"Summer" mode (models with circulation pump)
I
If the water temperature exceeds the set temperature by 1 °C,
the spas enter "summer" mode. The circulation pump is auto-
matically deactivated.
I
Summer mode is not activated until water temperature rea-
ches 35 °C.
To help prevent a "Summer Mode" condition, it may be ne-
cessary to reduce the filtering/heating cycle in warm weather.
Overheating
Overheat protection. Heater is deactivated.
Do not get into the spa, the water may be too hot.
- To correct the situation:
I
Remove the spa's cover and allow your spa to cool down.
I
Program the filter settings for "Economy" mode.
I
When the water temperature drops below 44°C, the spa will
resume normal operation.
I
If the temperature does not drop below 44°C, contact a Ja-
cuzzi Service Centre
Keep in mind that the spa's ability to cool is directly affected by
the ambient temperature: an excessively hot ambient tempera-
ture may prevent the spa from cooling down because its fully in-
sulated construction is designed to retain heat and to minimize
operating costs.
Panel Displays BLB
UV lamp needs to be replaced. The message will flash between
"blb" and the water temperature. The countdown timer for the
UV lamp needs to be reset.
I
Contact an authorized Jacuzzi Service Centre.
The panel shows SN1
Open sensor (heater is deactivated) or short circuited sensor
(mini-pool is deactivated). The upper-limit temperature sensor
is not functioning.
I
Contact an authorized Jacuzzi Service Centre.
The panel shows SN2
Open or short-circuited sensor (heater disabled). The tem-
perature sensor is not functioning.
I
Contact an authorized Jacuzzi Service Centre.
The panel displays FL1 or FL2
(models without circulation pump)
If the message "FL1" flashes on the display, it means that the pres-
sure switch is not working perfectly when pump 1 is activated.
A flashing "FL2" display means the flow switch is malfunc-
tioning closed.
This error will cause the heater to deactivate.
