and operating instructions helps to
avoid personal injuries and material
damage while working on and with
the product.
Read and comply with all safety in-
formation and instructions.
Only use the product for the intended use as
mentioned in these instructions.
Keep all safety information and instructions for
future reference.
Installation work may only be carried out by
qualified technicians.
Never make any modifications or changes to the
product that have not been expressly approved
by the manufacturer.
Only use genuine spare parts of the
manufacturer. Incorrect or faulty spare parts can
cause damage, malfunctions or even a total
failure of the product.
Failure to comply with the safety information and
directives given in these instructions or with the
accident prevention regulations and general
safety regulations relevant to the field of
application shall exempt the manufacturer or its
representative from all liability and shall render
any damage claims null and void.
These assembly, operation and maintenance instructions must be kept for the entire period of use!
2.1

Intended use

The installation of garage doors is intended for
private garages and is to be carried out in areas ac-
cessible for persons. The usage of these garage
doors is to provide safe access for goods and
vehicles in living spaces that are accompanied or
guided by persons.
Garage doors are subject to dangers although they
are tested in accordance with all national and interna-
tional norms and built according to the current state-
of-the-art technology.
The product is compatible with Novoferm products
only.
Never make any modifications or changes to the
product that have not been expressly approved by
the manufacturer.
The product is suitable for domestic use only.
The product is not suited for being used by persons
(or children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge.
However, the door can be used within the reach of
children.
2.2

Foreseeable misuse

Any use other than described in chapter Intended use
is regarded as reasonably foreseeable misuse. This
particularly applies to the following cases:
If the product is not used in accordance with the
intended purpose.
If the product is used without regard to the
minimum level of safeguarding in accordance
with EN 12453.
If the product has been improperly serviced or
maintained, by means of non-qualified persons.
If loads exceeding the standard hand force affect
the door leaf (only open and close the door leaf
without loads, and do not intentionally counteract
the opening or closing process).
Using drives that are not part of the system or
that are incorrectly adjusted.
Adding or installing components and parts which do
not comply with the intended use to or in the door,
the locking system or the drive and / or performing
modifications to the original delivery state.
If changes or modifications have been made on
the door or its components.
In the event of failure to observe the assembly,
operation and maintenance instructions, the
respectively applicable country-specific norms or
applicable safety regulations.
If the door is not in a perfectly safe condition.
Door elements, drives and radio controls are not
a toy for children.
Door elements are not suited for being used as load-
bearing components. Either vertical or horizontal in-
stallation has to be performed in accordance with the
version. The rails are to be aligned perpendicularly or
according to the assembly specifications.
