The range of the transmitter system can be influenced by other
transmission signals. The range may be reduced by walls (concrete,
bricks, steel), trees, human bodies, and other objects or materials
between transmitter and receiver. It also depends on atmospheric
conditions such as temperature or humidity. It can also be disturbed
by local or wide area networking equipment or by certain wireless
telephone systems.
When the transmitter handle is mounted to the thermal imaging
camera and the camera is switched on, the transmitter function is
available. When the camera is in stand-by mode, the transmitter is
deactivated.
Switching the transmitter on and off
To switch on the transmitter, press the button on the handle.
Channel 1 is activated and LED 1 is on.
To activate channel 2, press the button on the handle again.
Channel 2 is activated and LED 2 is on.
To switch off the transmitter, press the button on the handle again
or switch the camera off.
Both LEDs on the handle are OFF.
Image capture handle (optional)
The image capture handle can store infrared images and video clips
from the thermal imaging camera. The image capture handle has an
internal clock. All images and video clips will be stored on an internal
SD card with actual time and date faded in.
The image capture handle is equipped with a USB port to transfer the
recorded images or video clips to a PC. The necessary USB driver is
delivered with the image capture handle.
Switching the image capture handle on and off
The image capture handle is powered automatically. When the
thermal imaging camera is switched on, it takes approx. 15 seconds
until the image capture handle is powered.
When the camera is in stand-by mode, no images or videos can be taken.

Image capture handle software
The following directories are stored on the image capture handle:
"CONFIG", "IMAGE", "TIME", "UPDATE". Do not delete these
directories. They are used by the firmware of the image capture
handle.
Copy "Thermal Camera Maintenance" to a PC as a back-up.
The functions "Firmware Update" and "Timestamp Images" are for
service purposes only.
Prior to using the image capture handle, check that the time and date
settings are correct. The time and date settings can be changed as
follows:
Connect the camera to the PC while powered using the USB
cable.
Start the "Thermal Camera Maintenance" program.
Select the camera from the list.
Click the "Set Time" button.
The camera will be set to the same time as the PC.
Disconnect the camera from the PC.
Re-boot the thermal imaging camera to begin taking pictures or
videos.
Activating the image capture function
To activate the image capture function, press the button on the
handle for less than one second.
LED 1 is on, a picture is taken.
Shortly press the button again to take another picture.
