Sensing range adjustment
The sensing range is adjusted with the potentiometer (type: 5-turn). Clockwise rotation:
Sensing range increased; counterclockwise rotation: Sensing range reduced. Position
the object and direct the light spot onto it. Red emitted light spot can be detected on
the object. It is recommended to place the object within the sensing range, e.g. see
table
8.
Turn the adjustment to the minimum sensing range. Then increase the sensing range
until the yellow LED lights up. Recommended: If high contrast or poorly remitting
objects need to be detected, increase the sensing range by adding a supplement of
15% of the object distance.
Once the sensing range has been adjusted, the object is removed from the path of the
beam. The digital output changes [see

The sensor is adjusted and ready for operation.
The Troubleshooting table indicates measures to be taken if the sensor stops working.
