1 4 . Follow all instructions when clearing jammed
material, storing or servicing the chain saw.
Make sure the switch is o and the battery

Operation
1. Before starting work, check that the chain
saw is in proper working order and that its
condition complies with the safety regulations.
Check in particular that:
• T h e c h a i n b r a k e i s w o r k i n g p r o p e r l y ;
• T h e r u n - d o w n b r a k e i s w o r k i n g p r o p e r l y ;
The bar and the sprocket cover are fitted
c o r r e c t l y ;
• T h e c h a i n h a s b e e n s h a r p e n e d a n d t e n -
s i o n e d i n a c c o r d a n c e w i t h t h e r e g u l a t i o n s .
2. Do not start the chain saw with the chain cover
being installed on it. S t a r t i n g t h e c h a i n s a w w i t h t h e
c h a i n c o v e r b e i n g i n s t a l l e d o n i t m a y c a u s e t h e c h a i n
c o v e r t o t h r o w n o u t f o r w a r d r e s u l t i n g i n p e r s o n a l
injury and damage to objects around the operator.
W hen you use the tool on muddy ground, wet

slope, or slippery place, pay attention to your
footing.
Do not submerge the tool into a puddle.
