2 PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The cordless cultivator is designed for cultivation,
loosening and crumbling of the soil as well as for
preparing the soil for sowing. In addition, it can
be used for weeding, for example, in the home
vegetable garden.
The appliance may only be used together with
the lithium-ion rechargeable batteries and char-
gers specified in the technical data. See the sep-
arate operating manuals for further information
on rechargeable batteries and chargers:

IMPORTANT! Danger of damage to the ap-
pliance and battery. If the appliance is operated
with unsuitable batteries, both the device and the
batteries may be damaged.
Operate the appliance only with the specified
rechargeable batteries.

2.1

Intended use

This hand-held cordless cultivator is used for
convenient loosening of the soil in flower and
vegetable beds, in small gardens and in hard-to-
reach places such as under bushes and trees.
Use in any way other than that described here is
deemed as non-designated.
This appliance is intended solely for use in non-
commercial applications. Any other use as well
as unauthorised conversions or modifications are
regarded as contrary to the intended use and will
result in voiding of the warranty as well as loss of
conformity; the manufacturer will thus decline any
responsibility for damage and/or injury suffered
by the user or third parties.
2.2

Possible foreseeable misuse

Stones, branches, metal objects and other for-
eign objects in the soil can damage the tool. Soil
that has not been loosened for a long time and is
therefore too hard will overload the tool.
The tool is designed neither for commercial use
in public parks and sports facilities, nor for use in
farming and forestry.
2.3

Residual risks

Even during correct use of the appliance, there is
always a certain residual risk that cannot be ex-
cluded. Depending on the use, the following po-
tential risks can be derived from the type and
construction of the appliance:
Throwing out of earth and small stones.
Inhalation of soil dust if no face mask is worn.
Lacerations to the feet and from reaching into
the rotating cultivator blades.
2.4

Safety and protective devices

WARNING! Risk of injury. Defective and
disabled safety and protective devices can result
in serious injury.
Have any defective safety and protective de-
vices repaired.
Never disable safety and protective devices.
2.4.1

Unlocking button

The unlocking button releases the ON/OFF
switch. This prevents inadvertent starting of the
tool by accidentally pressing just the ON/OFF
switch.
