Disconnecting motor head and basic

1. Turn the locking sleeve in the direction of
the open padlock.

5.1

Charging the rechargeable battery

Observe the temperature range for charging, see
technical data.

Fitting and removing the rechargeable
battery (04)
IMPORTANT! Danger of damage to the re-
chargeable battery. If the rechargeable battery
is left in the appliance after use, it may damage
the rechargeable battery.
Immediately after use, pull the rechargeable
battery out of the appliance and store in a
frost-protected area.
Only insert the rechargeable battery in the
appliance immediately before starting work.
Installing the battery
1. Push battery (04/1) into the upper handle
from below (04/a) until it engages.
Removing the battery
1. Press and hold the unlock button (04/2) on
the rechargeable battery.
2. Pulling out the rechargeable battery (04/b).

6 OPERATION

WARNING! Risk of injury due to detach-
ing appliance parts. Appliance parts detaching
during operation can lead to serious injury.
Before turning the appliance on, check that
all the parts of the appliance are firmly tight-
ened.
Attach cutting tools so that they cannot de-
tach during operation.

Checking the charge status of the
rechargeable battery
Charge status indicator (01/3) is located on the
top of the basic tool.
It has three segments. The segments light up or
flash, depending on the battery charge status.

Switching the appliance ON and OFF (05
- 07)
1. Stand securely.
2. Hold the upper handle (05/1) with one hand
and the loop handle (05/2) with the other
hand.
3. Hold the motor head (06/1) slightly above the
soil to be cultivated. The cultivator blades
(06/2) should not touch the ground.
4. Press unlocking button (07/1) in the upper
handle.
5. Press and hold the ON/OFF switch (07/2) in
the upper handle. The appliance starts. The
unlocking button can be released.
6. Press the rotating cultivator blades into the
soil with the loop handle. If you notice that
the cultivator blades are blocked by the soi,
raise the tool slightly.
7. To switch off the appliance: Release the ON/
OFF switch.
WARNING! Danger of cuts and lacera-
tions. After the appliance has been switched off,
the cultivator blades continue to rotate for a few
seconds. Reaching into the blades during this
time can result in cutting injuries.
Wait until the cultivator blades have come to
a complete standstill.
