Handi-Kleen Pumps
The pumping unit is a valuable aid in parts cleaning. It is particularly useful for flushing away softened
grease and grime as you brush the parts. Graymills VP Series pumps, which are designed into the Handi-
Kleen models, are of a centrifugal type with bottom intake and operate at low pressure to aid against splash.
These pumps are made of high strength, reinforced thermoplastic.
Make sure the wire mesh screen is in position, protecting pump intake.
Handi-Kleen Motors
Handi-Kleens are equipped with either an air or electric motor, depending on your model. Electric motors
should have the same cycle, phase, and voltage as the electric power available. Electric motors require no
lubrication. However, motor ventilating openings should not be closed off or blocked in any way. Air motors
require clean compressed air with some oil mist mixed by an air filter lubricator (FRL-1) connected near the
motor.
The flexible hose is capable of splashing solvent and/or ejecting it from the machine. The hose must be
directed into the tank at all times and eye protection worn while operating the equipment.
All models:
Never work with equipment you feel may be unsafe. Contact your supervisor immediately if you
feel a piece of equipment is in an unsafe condition.
Fill tank with Graymills Regular Agitene® 141/Super Agitene® 141 or comparable cleaning fluid
with a flash point of 104°F (40°C) or higher.
Insert plug into a properly grounded compatible outlet. For air-powered units the tank should be
connected to ground to dissipate static electricity.
Turn on rocker switch on right side of tank to start fluid recirculating.
