Pump Service
Decreased solvent flow from the nozzle could mean not enough solvent is getting to the pump, indicating
a sludge build-up at the pump intake area. Clean pump screen weekly for best operation, more often in
heavy use.
To remove the pumping unit from the Handi-Kleen, perform the following procedures:
•
Disconnect the Handi-Kleen from the power or air source.
•
Remove the motor cover by unscrewing all machine screws. Remove four machine screws on
motor/filter shelf to free up pump shelf assembly.
•
Remove the flexible hose from the "L" support bracket
•
Detach ground wire from ground stud on tank
•
Lift pump out of compartment and check bottom of pump compartment for sludge.
•
If it is necessary to clean the pump interior, remove the bottom screws, plate and gasket. Unscrew the
set- screw in the impeller and lift it with the help of two small screwdrivers.
•
Rinse and reassemble the pump.
