Screw the filter base into the cover by turning it clockwise.

Position the filter so that the water spout points into the sink. Depress the
Hydrostatic Relief Valve on top of the cover for one minute and run COLD
water through the filter. Let the water continue to run through the filter for
10 more minutes. Depressing the Hydrostatic Relief Valve and letting the
water run will allow trapped air to escape and reduce drips and run-on when
the filter is turned off, and will expel any loose carbon particles.
NOTE: The color of the water may change temporarily, but the water is still safe
to drink.
Replacing the CMF Cartridge
1.
Follow steps 1 -4 under "Cleaning the CMF Cartridge. "
2.
Properly discard the used CMF Cartridge.
3.
Remove the plastic wrap and label from the replacement CMF Cartridge.
4.
Reassemble the filter by following steps 6 - 8 under "Cleaning the CMF
Cartridge".
