INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
M-46 MICROPHONE CONNECTION
To connect the M-46 microphone to the MPZ-461, multi-zone amplifier, use the data cable supplied with
the microphone.
The microphone is powered by the data and audio cable. If the distance is more than 50 meters, the micro-
phone must be powered using the supplied power adapter because of losses in the data cable.
PAGING FROM THE M-46 MICROPHONE
Select the zones to which you want to send alerts with the ZONE 1 to 4 buttons on the M-46 microphone
and then press the TALK button. Once the announcement is complete, press the TALK button again and
disable the zone selector on the M-46 microphone.
If the CHIME button is pressed before the TALK button, each time a warning is to be given, chimes will
sound. It is necessary to press the CHIME button again to deactivate the chimes.
By pressing the ALL CALL button, all zones are selected/deselected simultaneously for paging.
INPUT PRIORITY
The priority function automatically decreases the level of the lowest priority entries so that the message
emitted by the highest priority entries can be heard clearly.
The first priority level consists of the MIC 1 and TEL.PAGING signals. The status of PRIORITY contact clo-
sure will determine which of these two inputs has the highest priority.
The second level of priority corresponds to the signal of the microphone mod. M-46, which in turn has prio-
rity over the inputs MIC 2, MIC 3, LINE 4, LINE 5 and the MP3 module.
