How to use the Surrounder
• Place the Surrounder around your shoulders from the front. The small speakers as well
as the volume control (VOLUME) and the bass control (BASS) are situated at the front
of the Surrounder.
• Fix the shoulder pads onto the Surrounder. The shoulder pads are attached by means
of Velcro. To replace the shoulder pads, carefully pull them off and attach the new ones
with slight pressure.
NB.: The Surrounder has no ON/OFF switch. You can only adjust the volume and the
intensity of the low frequencies by means of the two rotary switches ("VOL" and "BASS").

Important notes
Only use the Surrounder (and the DSP Pro Dolby ProLogic Decoder) with a suitable
Sennheiser power supply unit. Always disconnect the mains connector when you wish
to change connections or move the device to a different place.
Never open electronic devices! This must only be done by authorised personnel and is
all the more valid for repairs on current-carrying units.
Keep the Surrounder (and the DSP Pro Dolby ProLogic Decoder) away from central
heating radiators and electric heaters. Never expose it to direct sunlight.
Use the Surrounder (and the DSP Pro Dolby ProLogic Decoder) in dry rooms only.
Use a damp cloth for cleaning the Surrounder. Do not use any solvents. For reasons of
hygiene, the shoulder pads can be cleaned with soapy water. We recommend, however,
to simply replace them (replacement shoulder pads are available as accessories).
Important note for the Surrounder Pro
The power supply units for the DSP Pro and the Surrounder feature the
same connectors. The power supply units must not be mixed up!
Use the smaller power supply unit (9 V) for powering the DSP Pro.
Use the larger power supply unit (12 V) for powering the Surrounder.
