Voltage accumulates when photovoltaic modules are connected in series, and
current accumulates when photovoltaic modules are connected in parallel, as
shown in the figure below.
Photovoltaic modules with different electrical characteristics must not be
connected in series. Third-party electronic devices connected to photovoltaic
modules must be installed according to the instructions specified by the
manufacturer

The maximum number of photovoltaic modules that can be connected in a
series series must be calculated in accordance with the applicable regulations,
so that the declared maximum voltage of the photovoltaic module and all other
direct current electrical components is not exceeded in open circuit operation
at the lowest temperature expected at the location of the photovoltaic system.
