Option C: Additional third-party earthing devices
PNI photovoltaic modules can be grounded using third-party grounding
devices, as long as they are certified for grounding photovoltaic modules
and the devices are installed according to the instructions specified by the
manufacturer.
Mechanical installation
PNI solar photovoltaic modules have been certified for a maximum static load
on the back of the module up to 2400 Pa (ie wind load) and a maximum static
load on the front of the module up to 2400 Pa or 5400 Pa (ie wind and snow)
, depending on the module type.
Mounting structures and other mechanical parts must be designed and
approved to withstand the wind and snow loads of a particular site.
PNI photovoltaic modules must not be subjected to forces in the substructure,
including forces caused by thermal expansion.
The mounting method must not result in direct contact of the various metals
with the aluminum frame of the photovoltaic module, which will lead to galvanic
corrosion. Metal combinations should not exceed an electrochemical potential
difference of 0.5 V.
PNI photovoltaic modules can be mounted with landscape or portrait
orientation, as shown in the figure below:
