Initial Operation
The voltage specifications on the rating plate must cor-
respond with the mains voltage. Equipment marked
with 230 V can also be connected to 220 V/240 V.
Switching On:
Press the safety button (1).
Press the on-off switch (2) and hold depressed.
Note: The on-off switch cannot be locked on.
Switching Off:
Release the on-off switch.
Saw Blade Installation
The sawing performance and the quality of the cut
depend essentially on the condition and tooth form of
the saw blade. Therefore, use only sharp saw blades
that are suitable for the material to be worked.
Install a suitable saw blade according to the illustration
and tighten. Take care that the mounting flange (21)
and the clamping flange (19) are correctly positioned.
Observe for installation: The cutting direction of the
teeth (arrow on the blade guard) must match the direc-
tion of the arrow on the guard.
Check the function of the swinging guard.
Saw Blade Removal
Swing the swinging guard (7) back with the lever (5)
and place on the ring spanner (16).
Unscrew the clamping screw (17) with the Allen
key (15).
Remove the clamping flange (19) and the saw
blade (20).
Cutting Depth Adjustment
Loosen the winged screw (12).
Set the required depth on the cutting depth scale (
The bottom edge of the blade guard can be used as a
reference point for this.
Raise: smaller cutting depth
Lower: larger cutting depth
Retighten the winged screw. To achieve the best cut-
ting results, the saw blade should protrude from the
material by no more than 3 mm.
Cutting Angle Adjustment
Loosen the winged screw (9).
Set the cutting depth on the scale to the required value
(the cutting angle scale is marked in 1°-steps).
Retighten the winged screw (9).
For mitre cuts, the cutting depth does not corre-
spond to the value indicated on the cutting
depth scale.
Cutting Mark
The cutting mark 0° indicates the position of the saw
blade for right angle cutting.
The cutting mark 45° indicates the position of the saw
blade for 45°cutting.
Parallel Guide
The parallel guide with scale (14) is inserted in the
holders on the foot plate (6) and secured with the
winged screw (10). The parallel guide makes possible
exact cuts along a workpiece edge or the cutting of par-
allel strips. The maximum cutting width that can be set
is approx. 200 mm.
Dust Extraction

).
The extraction hose of a commercial vacuum cleaner
can be connected to the machine via the connection
neck (3).
Checking the Adjustment of the
Riving Knife
The riving knife (22) must always be used for safety
reasons. The riving knife prevents the saw blade from
becoming jammed when making lengthwise cuts.
Loosen screw (4), adjust the riving knife (22) and re-
tighten the screw. Check the function of the swinging
guard (7).
