4.5 Shut-down procedure
Danger
Prior to any cleaning, maintenance or repair tasks
(to be performed by an electrician), shut down the device as described
below:
1. Lower the slide to its initial position and remove the jar.
2. Disconnect the TOPITEC
EXPERT from the power supply:
®
• Set the main switch (power switch) to position "0".
• Secure the TOPITEC
EXPERT against inadvertent restart
®
by disconnecting the power cable from the socket.
2.1 For maintenance and repair work only:
• Check the device to ensure that it is fully de-energized.
• Cover or otherwise insulate adjacent parts that remain powered.
Danger
Non-compliance can result in serious or even fatal injury
(from accidental voltage transfer)!
Capacitors might retain some dangerous residual voltage. Before
commencing work, check the capacitors and de-energize them slowly.
If a task cannot be performed when the device is shut down as described
above, contact your dealer or carry out the task with due regard to the
internal risk assessment.
