● Launch CVIMONITOR software and select
«Tool» tab on the top of the screen.
● Change the parameters according to your
installation.
Controller
● To install and power on the controller, follow
the instructions listed in the Quick-start user
manual 6159932290 supplied in the controller
box.
● Connect the controller to the
Ethernet network by plugging the
Ethernet cable into port 1 located
on the controller bottom panel.
● Go to the menu «»Main menu/Configuration/
Controller/Peripherals/Network.
● Check or change the controller IP address.
● Go to the menu «Main menu/Configuration/
Tightening unit/BT parameters/Network
parameters.
● Enter the communication port.
● Refer to the CVI3 Vision user

OPERATING MODE
When the tool is powered on, the Desoutter logo
is displayed and the LEDs are blinking.
● Wait for a few seconds while the software is
being initialized.

learn how to set up and use the functionalities
of the software embedded in the tool.

● Do not stare into beam.
● Press briefly the "Scan button"
The orange LED "Scan" is activated during 3
seconds by default.
As soon as the barcode is read, the beam comes
off, the green LED "Scan ok" is on.
Other settings possible with CVI CONFIG
● Launch "CVI CONFIG" and go to the "Tool"
tab.
● Extend or shorten the scan time from 1 to 9
seconds.
● Use the trigger to scan the barcode. In that
case, the tool must be locked before pressing
the trigger and the "Stop" icon displayed on
the controller display.
● To prevent the operator from using the "Scan
button", untick the box "Scan button".

MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
Maintenance should be performed by qualified
personnel only.
● Prior to any maintenance task, disconnect the
tool.
Overhaul and preventive maintenance
is recommended at regular intervals
once per year or after maximum 500,000
tightenings depending on which occurs
sooner.
Assembly and disassembly
● When disassembling the tool electronics, take
extra care for the wires when pulling out the
connectors.
● When disassembling the tool front assemblies,
take care for the torque transducer wires.
● Follow standard engineering practices and
refer to figures/exploded view for the mounting
of component subassemblies.
● Prior to putting the equipment back into
service, check that its main settings have not
been modified and that the safety devices
work properly.
