Installation
8.1
Switch the device on
The bell box comes with the batteries installed. To start using the bell box, you need to switch it on:
1.
Loosen the screw at the bottom of the bell box and lift the outer case.
2.
Slide the power switch to ON position.
3.
Close the bell box and fasten the screw.
8.2
Mount the bell box
Tamper protection
The tamper switch protrudes through the back of the unit, so that if the bell box is pulled off from the
wall, the alarm will be activated. Make sure the tamper switch is fully depressed when you are mounting
the bell box. If there is a gap between the bell box and the wall, fill it with a suitable material.
1.
Find a location to mount the bell box.
2.
Open the bell box: loosen the screw at the bottom of the bell box and lift the outer case.
3.
Use the mounting holes as a template for appropriate hole positioning.
4.
Use the provided wall plugs for plaster/brick installation.
5.
Secure the back of the device on the wall using the included screws.
6.
You can enable tamper protection on the control panel. See chapter Program Siren menu – other
options in the CTC1000 manual.
7.
To test tamper protection:
Arm and disarm the alarm system with the control panel.
o
If the bell box sounds 5 short beeps while arming, then the tamper is not set correctly.
o
Make sure the device is properly secured and test again.

To set up connection between the door bell and the control panel
Connect a detector or remote keypad first
An outdoor siren is considered as an auxiliary device by the system. Before adding a bell box, make sure
the system already contains at least one detector or remote keypad. Refer to the CTC1000 manual for
details.
With the bell box open:
1.
Set dip switch 1 to ON.
The siren will beep and flash. The siren is now in learning mode.
2.
On the CTC1000 control panel:
Enter program mode.
o
Go to Devices+/-
o
Select Program Siren, then Learn Siren and press OK.
o
The control panel will sound a long beep to confirm, followed by the siren's response of a beep
and a flash.
3.
Set dip switch 1 to OFF.
The siren will beep and flash to confirm that the siren is now in normal operation mode. The siren is
now connected to the control panel.
4.
On the control panel, disable tamper protection:
