6. Batteries
The bell box comes with the battery already installed.
Low battery detection
The bell box has a low battery detection system.
Low battery detection operates where the bell box has enough power to typically operate for 1 month
before complete exhaustion.
When battery is low, the bell box will sound 5 beeps when you arm or disarm the system.
Replacing the batteries
1.
On the control panel, disable tamper protection:
Enter program mode.

Go to Devices+/-.
o
Select Program Siren and press OK.

Select Siren Tamp. Off
o

On the siren, remove the screw and the cover.
The battery compartment is a large box in the bell box with a lid secured with 4 screws.

Remove the four screws and take off the compartment lid.
4.
Remove the batteries and press the tamper switch twice to discharge.
5.
Slide the power switch on the PCB board to OFF.
6.
Insert new batteries (always use the correct battery type: see Technical specifications below). Make
sure the polarity is correct.
7.
Slide the power switch to ON.
The bell box will beep and flash when the last battery is inserted.
8.
Put back the battery lid and fasten it with the screws.
9.
On the control panel, enable tamper protection:
In the Program Siren menu (see step 1), select Select Siren Tamp. On and press OK.
Replacing the batteries in stand alone mode
When a bell box is used as a standalone mode (see below), a previously learnt remote controller is able
to serve as a master control. This dual key function is designed to disable tamper before changing the
batteries.
When using the bell box in standalone mode, you can replace the batteries as follows:
1.
On the remote controller, press both Arm + Home Arm buttons to disable tamper.
The bell box will beep once ton confirm.
2.
Refer to section Replacing the batteries above and follow steps 2 to 9.
3.
Press both Arm + Panic buttons to enable tamper.
The bell box will beep once to confirm.
WARNING
Do not puncture or throw batteries in fire as they might explode.
Keep batteries away from children.

Using the dip switches

The bell box can be programmed with dip switches (on the PCB board inside the bell
box). The DIP Switch is either ON or OFF. Top position indicates ON and bottom position
indicates OFF. The function of each dip switch is listed as table below.
