Cleaning of the heat exchanger. CAUTION! THE BOILER MUST BE UNPLUGGED BEFORE THIS OPERATION
(very important).
You can access the exchanger tubes at the front and top of the boiler. To access them from the front in the
Cantina Nova model, open the liner door by pulling, or by pressing on it for Aveiro. In Super Insert models,
the user has to remove the top right door of the trim (fastened to the right side of the device with 3 screws
and to the core frame with 2). Then open the shell door, loosen the screws that hold together the cleaning
front lid of the exchanger and remove it, as well as the insulating panel.
To access the cleaning hatch and the exchanger from the top, remove the exchanger cover and, in the case of
Super Insert models, pull out the boiler from its embedded space and turn the exchanger door handle anti-
clockwise (until it is in line with the edge of the door and can be opened as shown in Drawing 21 and 22).
Once you have access to the exchanger tubes, clean the accumulated ash residues from between the tubes
and the inner chambers, with the cleaning brush sent with the boiler, and apply the liquid to the exchanger
surface (see diagram) following the instructions that appear at the back of the packaging.
For cleaning soot from the cleaning hatch, use the brush and a vacuum cleaner.
After cleaning, close the access to the exchanger tubes and the cleaning hatch.
