Heat the appliance up for a couple of minutes without dough, in order to
eliminate possible manufacturing residues. Make sure the room is well ven-
tilated during this process. After the initial heating process the appliance
might show signs of wear, which do not affect its features and do not con-
stitute a reason for rejection.
4.
Before first use, slightly grease both waffle plates with heat resistant grease
like margarine, for example, using a pastry brush (as the plates are non-stick
coated, greasing is only necessary before the very first use).
5.
The appliance may generate a slight smell when first using it, which is
absolutely normal.

USE OF THE APPLIANCE

1.
Remove all packaging materials and any transport safety devices. Keep
packaging materials away from children - danger of suffocation!
2.
Wipe the appliance inside and outside with a damp cloth. Dry the parts
carefully.
3.
Grease the plates slightly and preheat the appliance for about 10 minutes.
Then wipe the plates with a damp cloth. For further use the plates must not
be greased any more (except if stated in the recipe).
4.
Put the plug into the socket (power supply 220–240 V~, 50/60 Hz). Both
control lamps are lighting.
5.

damp cloth.
6.
As soon as the required temperature is reached, the green control lamp is
turning off. This lamp will always turn on, when the required temperature
has decreased and the appliance is heating again.
7.
As soon as the right lamp turns out, the required temperature is reached and
the prepared toast can be placed in the appliance.
8.
The handle has to be closed firmly in order to ensure an optimum sealing
of the toast edges.
9.
The first toast should not be used and should be thrown away.
10. Toast the sandwich for approx. 3-5 minutes.
11. Do not use any metal tools or sharp tools to take the toast out. We recom-
mend to use wooden or plastic tools.
