SECTION 5.4 – RE-ASSEMBLY
Lip of piston's seal should face toward pressurized chamber
(away from air motor).
Carefully place the block with the seal over the piston.
Press firmly until the block seats on the chamber (13).
Install the four hex head cap screws (22) with washers
(21) and tighten to 30 ft-lb.
18. Reattach the manifolds (36A, 36B) using the sanitary
clamps (37). Make sure that the sanitary gaskets (35)
are in place. Lightly secure the sanitary clamps and
make sure that the flange adapters (27), sanitary gaskets
(35), and manifolds (36A, 36B) all fit properly.
Tighten the socket head cap screws (28) using a ball
end hex key to secure the final position of the flange
adapters. Release the sanitary clamps (37) and remove
the manifolds (36A, 36B). Take care to catch the
sanitary gaskets (35) if they fall. Tighten the socket
head cap screws (28) to 18 ft-lbs. using a torque
wrench. Reinstall the sanitary gaskets (35) and
manifolds (36A, 36B) and securely tighten the
sanitary clamps (37).
19. Make sure that all plugs (30) are tightened securely.
20. If the material accumulators were removed replace
any worn parts (29, 31, 32, 33, 34) and reinstall
