3. Specifications

Temperature ranges
Measuring range
The measuring range is dependent, essentially, on the measuring element. Depending on the
GB
measuring element, the following maximum measuring ranges are available:

The housing is designed for a temperature range of -40 ... +100 °C.
Storage temperature
-20 ... +70 °C
Protect the measuring instruments from humidity and dust!

The connection housing is protected from dust and water jets.

4. Design and function

4.1 Description
The duct temperature sensor consists of a stainless steel sensor tube with built-in measuring
element as well as a connection housing with integrated connection terminals.
The TF40 is used for temperature measurement in air ducts and can be mounted via a plastic
flange. In conjunction with an additional thermowell, it can also be used in liquid media. A plastic
flange and thermowells with different insertion lengths can be ordered from WIKA as accessories
(article numbers see data sheet TE 67.16).
All electrical components are protected against splash water. The electrical connection is made
via connection terminals in the case.
