13. MAINTENANCE
SETTING OFF
- Observe if there is air in the inner part of the analysis camera. If it the case, eliminate it through the drain (F).
- Clean the cartridge filter when it is dirty. Its function is to avoid that it gets into the analysis camera. For this purpose, it is necessary for
it to be clean.
- Before using the electrodes, check that they do not have any dirt or crystallisation. In the case the electrodes shows any irregularity,
put the cleaning solution for two minutes.
- Adjust the pH, ORP probe/s, and the inorganic chlorine cell when we observe a deviation in the PoolWatch Top Inorganic Chlorine
reading and our comparator.
- The pH, ORP probe, the membrane and the electrolyte of the Inorganic chlorine cell have an approximate life span of 6 months. The
duration depends on the characteristics of water and of the use we give the electrode. However, since it is a rubbing element, it is not
included in the guarantee.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE OF THE PROBES
Revise and examine the electrode once a month approximately) and clean it if necessary.
To clean the probe, introduce it in the cleaning solution, only the electrode extreme (glass membrane) for two minutes. It is necessary
to introduce the electrodes in conservative solution of KCl 3 M for 5 minutes.
Clean and maintain the filter once a month with a draft water.
STORAGE
The pH probe must have the extreme (wet zone) in conservative solution KCl 3 M. For this reason, you have to pour a little trimolar
solution in the protective cap or casing.
It is essential that the cap or casing sponge is humid in that solution.
ATTENTION: The pH electrode can not be stored for an unlimited time. Hence, we advise you not to keep them
for more than three months.
ATTENTION: Do not immerse the electrode in distilled water, this may cause a premature ageing.
ATTENTION: Not to manipulate the end of the probes, where they connect the cable, with the wet hands because
it might produce a short circuit and spoil rapidly the electrode of reference and therefore, the life of the probes.
INORGANIC CHLORINE CELL GALVANIC:
To assure ou that the probe has the balls autocleaners in sufficient quantity and uniform good.
The cathode must be clean of impurities, can rub to eliminate these impurities.
The anode if your original volume has been diminished will be necessary to replace it with a new refill (every 6-12 months)
The chlorine cell has to of be calibrating usually. The frequency will come determined by the type of water to measure, the needed
precision and the condition of the components that form a part of the chlorine cell.
If chemical products are added directly to the swimming pool (for example treatments of shock) PoolWatch Top closes the entry and
the exit of the water circuit of the equipment until the present water a few correct levels of pH (=7.2) and of Cl (=1.5-2.0 ppm).
Concentrations of residual free chlorine superior to 2 a.m. ppm age very rapidly the chlorine cell. This probe will never be able to work
with stabilized chlorine, (ATCC or DCCNa), that is to say in presence of acid isocyanuric (Cys) will have interferences of reading.
