Cleaning Your Hearing Aid

The following instructions will assist in exten-
ding the life of your hearing aid.
To Clean the Exterior of the Hearing Aid:
You should inspect your hearing aid daily
and clean it periodically to control build-up
of dust, dirt and wax. To clean, very gently
wipe the surface with a soft, dry cloth or use
only moist cleaning wipes made especially for
hearing aids.
CAUTION
DO NOT allow water or any liquid to enter the
openings on the hearing aid. This will damage the
hearing aid.
To Clean the Sound Tube and Ear Dome:
The sound tube delivers the amplified sound
from the hearing aid into the ear. It is impor-
tant that these components fit properly in
your ear. The materials used in your hearing
aid are of the highest quality available, and
the likelihood of an allergic reaction is low. If
the sound tube or the ear dome irritates your
ear in any way, contact your GOhear Hearing
Care Professional.

Please don't attempt to modify the shape or
length of the sound tube yourself. The tube
and dome should be cleaned regularly accor-
ding to the instructions on the following pages.
Use a damp cloth to clean the exterior of the
sound tube and dome.
Do not rinse or submerge these parts in water,
as there is a risk of damage if a water drop
becomes trapped in the sound tube. If this
should occur, it will prevent sound from coming
through the tube and may be harmful to the
hearing aid's electronics.
CAUTION
Should any irritation occur in the ear, immediately
contact your GOhear Hearing Care Professional or
physician.
CAUTION
DO NOT immerse your hearing aid in water or
other liquids or put them in contact with deter-
gents, solvents or other liquids. This will damage
the hearing aid.
