conditions of directive 2006/42/CE and national laws transposing the same directive, in other words until the machinery
which this declaration refers to, will make up a whole with the final machinery.
17 – Multiplexing instruction for Urano back to back
Before starting to multiplex two cabinets Urano back to back, remove the protective film on the plates.
Turn the feet in order to obtain a perfect alignment of the units. Then proceed as per following instruction (FIG: 13 page 5)
1. Fix top spacers on the back of one case. Holes are already predisposed.
2. Bring near the other case and ensure that they are perfectly aligned. Do not screw the top spacers to the other case.
3. Remove the dowels as per FIG. 13 page 5, only in case of external lights or any other accessory
4. Assemble the top carter and screw only side spacers (3 pieces each side) to both cases. Holes are already drilled.
5. Install side carters.
6. Install cover using a drop of silicon (only in case of external lights or any other accessory)
18 – Accessories mounting instructions
External Lighting "R" (FIG. 14, Pag.6):
1. Position the lamp-holder on the cabinet, making sure that the pins fit into the correspondent housing.
Note: The installation of the lighting can be carried-out only on the cabinets already fitted (pin + sleeve).
Basement closing (FIG. 15, Pag.7):
1. Tighten the fasteners to the base angles (already fixed on the cabinet) with 4x13mm self-threading screws.
2. Fix the metal cladding between the basement closures, by means of 4x13mm self-threading screws. (only for version
"R").
19 - Information for Technical Services – Cabinets with R290 refrigerant gas (Propane)
Any service on cabinets charged with R290 refrigerant gas must be performed only by well skilled and trained
personnel on R290 gas handling procedures. The activities must be performed by personnel indicated by the
Manufacturer or by the Dealer who sold the cabinet.
The service and any kind of intervention on the refrigeration system of cabinets charged with refrigerant gas R290
requires additional precautions!
1. It is not possible to carry out refrigerant filling, draining, emptying, or recharging operations because the entire
refrigeration circuit is hermetically sealed.
2. Before starting any work, turn off the cabinet and disconnect its electrical plug from the power supply socket.
3. The working tools must be suitable for repairing cabinets charged with R290 gas.
4. The intervention on the refrigeration circuit must be performed in well ventilated areas or outdoors only.
5. Make sure that there are no open flames or other heat sources (such as electrical switches, etc.) close to the cabinet.
And do not smoke!
6. Open the refrigeration circuit on the ad-hoc gas-charging pipe by removing the cap attached to the end. If necessary
retrieve the R290 gas with proper equipment.
7. Before using any flame, fill the circuit of nitrogen in order to eliminate any R290 gas residues.
8. Empty the nitrogen from the circuit. Start repairs by replacing the faulty parts, (replace the drier filter if necessary).
9. Once repairs have been completed, make the vacuum in the refrigerant circuit through the charging pipe, using the
appropriate throttle valve or the "Schrader" adaptor previously welded to the end.*(See note).
10. After the vacuum phase has been completed, start charging the gas entering 50% of the quantity of R290 gas
indicated on the rating plate applied on the cabinet. Connect its electrical plug to the power supply socket.
11. Turn on the power on the cabinet (see par.5), wait for compressor's start-up, and then complete unit charging with
remaining 50% quantity of R290 gas.
12. Verify the correct cabinet operations.
13. With the cabinet running, seal the end of the charging pipe with an ad-hoc cap available in the tools set. With a proper
tool clamp the charging pipe 2 times, about 2-3 cm distant from each other, just behind the cap.
14. Turn off the cabinet and check the tightness of the refrigeration circuit with a leak detector calibrated to detect the
R290 gas.
* N.B.- The opening of the refrigeration circuit has to be done from the gas charging pipe, after the charge the
circuit MUST be tightly closed by sealing the charging pipe. In case of need you can weld a "Schrader" adaptor to
perform vacuum operations and refrigeration circuit filling. Once the R290 gas filling has been completed, clamp the
charging pipe with the proper tool, just behind "Schrader" adaptor, at least 2 times, at about 2-3 cm distant from each
other.
20 – Use of Lokring joints during repair operation
The refrigeration circuit of the cabinet on the evaporator side is connected to the condensing unit through Lokring joints,
for which the mounting operations to the pipes require special equipment. The inlet and outlet of the evaporator are made
of aluminium pipes Ø10mm, while the compressor outlet and suction sides are made of copper pipes Ø10 mm. Use only
Lokring joints suitable to such diameter and material like "10NK AL50" type.
