• To clean the base, use a slightly damp, soft cloth; do not use scouring pads or abrasive
products.
• To clean the radiant part, use a slightly damp, soft cloth; do not use metal scouring pads or
abrasive products, water or other liquids; do not immerse in water or other liquids.
• When not being used, cover it and put it in a dry place; it is a good idea to put it back in its
original packaging to protect it from dust and humidity.
• A special tool is required to replace the electrical cord: contact an authorized service center,
also for any repairs.
• Should you decide not to use the appliance any more, we recommend making it inoperative
by cutting the power cord (after making sure you have disconnected the plug from the
socket) and make dangerous parts harmless if children are allowed to play with them, such
as the heating elements.
• Do not dispose of non‐biodegradable products in the environment but dispose of them in
accordance with current law. At the end of its working life, the product must not be disposed
of as urban waste. It must be taken to a special local authority differentiated waste
collection center or to a dealer providing this service. Disposing of a household appliance
separately avoids possible negative consequences for the environment and health deriving
from inappropriate disposal and enables the constituent materials to be recovered to obtain
significant savings in energy and resources. Bear in mind that: ‐the reflecting dish is made of
aluminum – the body is made of plastic. The electric wires are made of copper coated with
rubber – the elements are made of glass, ceramic and steel wire. The electric motor is made
of iron, copper and plastic.
Disposal of old electrical appliances.
The European directive 2002/96/EC on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment
(WEEE), requires that old household electrical appliances must not be disposed of in the
normal unsorted municipal waste stream. Old appliances must be collected separately in
order to optimize the recovery and recycling of the materials they contain, and reduce
the impact on human health and the environment. The crossed out "wheeled bin"
symbol on the product reminds you of your obligation, that when you dispose of the
appliance, it must be separately collected. Consumers should contact their local authority or retailer for
information concerning the correct disposal of their old appliance.
