b. Place the filled cartridge into the instument. Ensure the incubate switch is
on. Rotate the actuator heat block to the closed position. The test will
automatically initiate after 300 seconds (5 minutes).
6.3 GPC Cartridge:
a. Transfer 0.1 mL of aPPT, PTT, or thromboplastin reagent into each channel
of the cartridge, depending on the test being performed.
b. Transfer 0.1 mL of reconstituted control into each channel of the cartridge.
Refer to the reagent package insert for specific instructions and incubation
times.
c. If the specified incubation time for the reagent is 5 minutes, ensure the
incubate switch is on. Rotate the actuator heat block closed. The test will
automatically initiate after 300 seconds (5 minutes).

7. ACT Plus Instrument:
a. From the Main Menu, select or confirm that the cartridge type is set to the
appropriate cartridge.
b. From the QC Menu, select CWB Control.
c. Clot formation is signaled by an audible tone, the opening of the actuator
heat block, and the displaying of the results.
7.1 LRACT Cartridge:
a. Transfer 0.2 mL of reconstituted control into each channel of the cartridge.
Fill to between the fill lines etched on each channel body.
b. Place the filled cartridge into the instrument and allow to warm for
5 minutes.
