1 Function and application

The PURITY Finest 600/1200 filtrate helps to produce the unique coffee aroma –
especially in espressos – and allows the body of the coffee to develop. The characteristics
of the coffee crema are experienced in their full intensity.
The PURITY Finest filter systems reduce the total hardness in drinking water, thereby pre-
venting limescale and gypsum deposits in the downstream appliance.
Calcium, magnesium and metal ions can be removed from the drinking water during the
flow process.
Additionally, the filter material not only reduces turbidity and organic pollutants, but also
the level of substances that can impair taste and odour, such as chlorine residues.
Typical applications for PURITY Finest 600/1200 include coffee machines, espresso
machines and hot drink machines in drinking water areas with a high level of gypsum
hardness.
Caution: The system is not suitable for use in combi ovens and conventional ovens.

2 Liability exclusion

The filter must be replaced exactly in accordance with the information in these replace-
ment instructions. BRITA assumes no liability for any damage, including consequential
damage, arising from incorrect use of the product.

3 Product-specific safety information

For hygienic reasons the cartridge filter material is subjected to a special silver treatment.
A small quantity of silver, which is harmless to health, may be released into the water.
This is in compliance with the World Health Organisation (WHO) recommendations for
drinking water.
Note for people with kidney disease or dialysis patients: during the filter process, the
potassium content may be increased slightly. If you suffer from kidney disease and/or
have to stick to a special potassium diet, we recommend prior agreement with your doctor.
4 Filter capacity
By-pass and capacity tables for coffee/espresso machines and vending machines.
The stated capacities are guide values that may vary by +/– 10% depending on the
product volume flow and also on the machine types.
