8.- NORMS FOR RACK MOUNTING (max. 35 QPSK-PAL CI - 7 subracks 5 units high - 8.7")
8.1.- Installation of the rack with ventila-
tion facilities.
To facilitate the renewal and circulation of air
inside the rack, and thus reduce the tempe-
rature of the units thereby improving its cha-
racteristics, it is advisable to place 2 venti-
lation units of 25W, particularly when the
rack with the QPSK-PAL CI is located in
warm place, with a temperature higher than
40°C.

These ventilators will be placed on a tray,
that is screwed onto the top part of the
Rack, fig. 1 and 2, and in this way the venti-
lators will be able to extract the air from the

QPSK-PAL CI and will be able to expel it via
the gap (approx. 3-5 cm) at the top of the
Rack. The new air will enter through the bot-
tom of the
rack, fig 3.

To mount the units in the rack with
ventilation, you must mount a blank plate
ref. 5073 between the modules to allow the
correct ventilation of the equipment, fig. 4.
