Any changes to the standard state of the driver's seat (e.g. by retrofitting non-original
parts retrofitting and spare parts from GRAMMER AG) may invalidate the tested state of
the driver's seat. The functions of the driver's seat may be impaired and endanger
your safety. For this reason, any structural changes to the driver's seat must be
approved by GRAMMER AG.
When removing and installing the driver's seat, the information provided by the vehicle
manufacturer must be observed.
Do not lift the driver's seat by the covers. Failure to do so may result in an increased risk
of accident if the covers are loosened or broken.
Before removing the driver's seat, all plug connections between the driver's seat and the
vehicle electrical system must be disconnected. When re-establishing the plug
connections, care must be taken to ensure tightness (dust, water).
Restraint belts are available on the driver's seat or can be retrofitted. Retrofitting with
restraint belts is only permitted after approval by the vehicle manufacturer due to
increased strain on the driver's seat attachment.
Retrofitting must be carried out in accordance with the relevant country-specific
regulations and guidelines and must be approved by GRAMMER AG.
Restraint belts must be fastened before commissioning the vehicle.
After an accident, the restraint belts must be replaced.
If the restraint belts are fitted to the driver's seat, the driver's seat and the driver's seat
attachment must also be checked by qualified personnel after an accident.
Screw connections must be checked regularly for tight fit. Wobbling of the driver's seat
can indicate loose screw connections or other defects.
In the event that any irregularities are identified in the functions of the driver's seat (e.g.
defective suspension of the driver's seat, improper protrusion of the lumbar vertebra
support or damaged bellows), contact a specialist workshop immediately to rectify the
cause.
Failure to do so may endanger your health and increase the risk of an accident.
Before the vehicle is commissioned, any switches in the driver's seat (for immobilising
aggregates when leaving the driver's seat or vehicle) must be checked for their
operability.
In the event of malfunctions, the vehicle must not be put into operation.
- INCREASED RISK OF ACCIDENTS -
Driver's seats with a built-in switch for seat occupancy detection must not be loaded with
objects on the seat surface other than during normal use, otherwise the vehicle may
start moving without a driver.
– INCREASED RISK OF ACCIDENTS –
Relieving the load from the seat while driving leads to a vehicle standstill.
During operation - when the driver's seat is loaded - do not press the bellows inwards.
– RISK OF CRUSHING –
Ensure that no objects or liquids enter the interior of the driver's seat.
