ASSEMBLY & MOUNTING FOR THE
BACK TO THE ROOTS WATER GARDEN
1. Assemble the plastic cap on the strip.
Assemble the other cap in the same way.
Please disregard this step if the plastic caps
are pre-assembled (see Figs. 2).
2. Insert the shorter end of wire legs into the
clips individually. Take note that the legs
should be inserted from the clips side with
plastic screw.
3. Insert the longer end of wire legs into the

holes on the two mounted plastic caps. Make
sure the end of the wire is inserted into the
cap completely, but can't be seen from the
other side. (Fig. 3).
4. Insert the power cord into the light system.
(Fig. 4).
5. Mount the fixture on the fish tank and
tighten the screws clockwise (Fig. 6).

CHANGING THE BULB

1. If using the Modular T5 Dock, detach the
strips from the dock before replacing the
bulbs.
2. Rotate bulb clockwise to loosen and lift from
sockets.
3. Insert replacement bulb and rotate
counterclockwise to secure in sockets.

CARE AND CLEANING

1. Unplug the T5 and allow to cool.
2. Unscrew the bulbs and set aside.
3. Mix warm water and mild soap and apply
sparingly to the strips and reflectors with a
clean washcloth. Dry system with a second
washcloth.
4. Run a dry, soft washcloth over bulbs to
remove dust particles.
5. Screw bulbs back into the reflectors.
6. Plug in the power cords.
7. DO NOT immerse the system in water.
8. DO NOT use gasoline, paint thinner or other
chemicals to clean the system.
