General safety information
Read all safety information and
instructions, including the at-
tached brochure, before use.
Failing to observe the safety information
and instructions can lead to electrical
shock, burns and/or severe injuries.
Keep all safety information and in-
structions for future reference.
The term "power tool" used in the safety
information refers to line-powered power
tools (with a power cable) and bat-
tery-powered power tools (with no power
cable).
Inhaling or touching dust from mate-
rials such as lead-based paints, some
types of wood, metals, or minerals
containing asbestos can cause allergic
reactions, respiratory diseases and/or
cancer. Work on asbestos-containing ma-
terials may only be carried out by trained
specialists.
- Ensure the work location is well venti-
lated and use an appropriate exhaust
system.
- Use personal protective equipment
such as respirator masks.

Safety information for cordless
drill/screwdrivers
» Grasp the tool by the insulated hold-
ing surfaces when performing work
during which the tool being used or
the screw may contact hidden power
lines. Contact with an electrified power
line may also electrify the metal parts
of the tool and lead to electric shock.
» Use the additional handles, if deliv-
ered with your power tool. Loosing
control of the tool may lead to injury.
» Pay attention for hidden electric
lines as well as gas and water pipes.
Use a metal detecting instrument before
beginning work to ensure that you will
not run into these pipes.
» Grasp the power tool securely. Brief
reaction torque may occur.

» Secure the work piece sufficiently.
Use clamps or a vice to secure your
work piece.
» Only move the gear selection switch
and the rotation selection switch
when the motor is not running.
» Always slide the gear selection
switch until it engages. Otherwise the
power tool may be damaged.
» Move the rotation selection switch to
the center position to avoid uninten-
tional actuation during maintenance
or transport.
1.3
Safety information for batteries
» Do not open the battery housing.
The battery may emit fluids or tox-
ic materials if it is damaged or used
improperly.
» Protect the battery against heat,
e.g. constant sunshine or fire.
There is a risk of explosion.
» Vapors emitted from damaged batter-
ies may cause respiratory irritation.
- Ensure sufficient ventilation.
- Consult a doctor if symptoms develop.
» Only use original TRUMPF recharge-
able batteries. This is the only way
to protect the battery from dangerous
overcharging.
» The battery may be damaged by
sharp objects such as nails or
screwdrivers or by external forces.
The battery may short-circuit and burn,
smoke, explode or overheat.
» The battery is partly charged upon
delivery. Before first use, charge the
battery with an appropriate recharger
in order to guarantee the battery's full
power.
