To remove a magnet

Place the magnet tool over the magnet.

Turn counter-clockwise to loosen the magnet.

Lift the magnet and pull out.

WARNING: Changing to a stronger magnet may cause a sensation
of pressure or skin irritation. To relieve this you can attach a Cochlear
SoftWear Pad to the back of the sound processor. See the Osia 2
Sound Processor User Manual for details.
Changing the cover

To remove the cover

Open the battery door.

Press and lift to remove the cover.

To attach the cover
Place the cover over the upper part of the sound processor base unit. The

button should be visible through the cover opening.
•
Press down on the cover around the button until a "click" is heard.

Press down on the cover between microphone ports until a "click" is heard.

Close the battery door.

NOTE: Double check no gaps are present between the cover and the
base.
Attaching a Cochlear SoftWear Pad
NOTE: The Cochlear SoftWear Pad is optional.
If the patient experiences discomfort when wearing the processor, they can
attach this adhesive pad to the back of the processor.
NOTE: A stronger magnet might be needed after attaching a

Cochlear SoftWear Pad.
•
Peel off the single backing strip on the adhesive side of the pad.

Attach the pad to the back of the processor – press down firmly.

Peel off the two semicircle backing covers on the cushion side of the pad.
