Installation
W A R N I N G
Possible death or severe injury from hazardous electrical voltage!
• Prior to reaching into the water, isolate (switch off and disconnect) all units/devices used in the water.
• Isolate the device (disconnect from the power supply) before carrying out any work on it.
The unit can be placed submerged or dry.
Always place the unit below water level.
Place the unit horizontally on the ground ensuring its stable position.
Establishing the connections
Push the hose clip and the union nut over the hose. Fit the hose on the stepped hose adapter or hose connector and
secure with the hose clip.
Fit the stepped hose adapter or hose connector on the second inlet (1) or pump outlet (2) and hand-tighten the union
nut.
Submerged installation (A)
Operation with the pre-filter fitted. Push the pre-filter over the suction unit and fasten the filter using the bayonet clo-
sure. Place the unit in the water at the desired position. Ensure that the unit is fully submerged. Maximum installation
depth:4 metres.
Dry installation (B)
Bolt the suction unit on and turn the priming opening to an optimum position for priming and connecting the suction
hose. Connect the suction hose to the suction unit. Always position the unit below the water line to prevent dry running
and the intake of air when switching on and operating the unit. Risk of damage!
Never connect the unit to a water line.
Install the unit so that it is not exposed to direct sun radiation (max. 40 ºC).
Commissioning/start-up
N O T E
Never allow the pump to run dry. Otherwise the pump will be destroyed.
• Ensure that the pump is always flooded during operation.
• Regularly check the water level.
C A U T I O N
Risk of injury due to fast rotating components.
A temperature monitor switches the unit off automatically in the event of overload and on again once it has
cooled down.
• Isolate the unit before starting any work.
This is how to connect the power supply:
Switching on: Connect the unit to the mains. The unit switches on immediately.
Switching off: Disconnect the unit from the mains.
N O T E :
A brand-new pump will only achieve its maximum capacity after several operating hours.
