Stopping the engine
1. Lift the shutdown lever up until the engine is turned
off.

2. When using the electric start mode, turn the start
key to "OFF" position.

3. Turn the fuel cock to the OFF position. Slowly pull
the starter handle until feeling resistance.

ATTENTION
When stopping the engine, gradually reduce the load.
Do not stop the engine suddenly, or else the engine
temperature can rise abnormally.

Transportation

The engine should be cooled for at least 15 minutes be-
fore shipment. After the engine has cooled down, move
it to the transport vehicle.
DANGER
Fuel or spilled fuel can ignite spontaneously. Keep the
engine level during transportation to prevent fuel spill-
age.
WARNING
Risk of personal injury or damage! Consider the weight
of the appliance during transport.

Storage

DANGER
Risk of explosion! As long as there is fuel in the fuel
tank, the engine must not be stored near fire or electrical
appliances.
WARNING
Risk of personal injury or damage! Consider the weight
of the appliance when storing it.
Note
 The engine should not be stored in a place with high
air humidity to prevent rust.
 Even if the tank is empty, the fuel cock should be
closed to prevent leakage.
 Place the engine horizontally, otherwise oil or fuel
may spill.
 Cover the engine to protect it from dust.
1. Change the oil.
Note
The engine must be cooled for at least 1/2 hour.
Avoid water seeping into the muffler or air filter, other-
wise it will cause damage to the engine.
2. Clean the outer surface of the engine.
3. Repair damaged paint and slightly apply oil on sur-
faces prone to rust.
4. Pull the starter rope slowly until feeling resistance.
5. Slowly release the starter rope.
6. Store in a dry place.

Care and maintenance

DANGER
Cool the engine before starting any maintenance and
care work. To avoid risks, all repairs and replacement of
spare parts may only be carried out by the authorized
Customer Service personnel.
Before doing work with the appliance:

Place the appliance on a horizontal surface.

Disconnect the power supply.
Checking the oil level
Note
Put the engine in a horizontal position and check the oil
level in the stopped state.
1. Turn off the engine switch.
2. Place the appliance on a horizontal floor.
3. Remove the dipstick and wipe the dipstick.

4. Insert (do not screw in) the dipstick into the oil filling
port until the stop, and pull it out again. Read the oil
level.
5. In case of low oil level:
Refill oil (SAE 10W-30 or SAE 15W-40) to the lower
edge of the oil filling port.

" Technical data".)
6. Screw in the dipstick.
Note
Change the oil when the engine is warm.
1. Remove the dipstick and wipe the dipstick.
2. Unscrew the oil drain bolt and collect the drained oil.

3. Place the oil drain screw and tighten it.
4. Place the appliance on a horizontal floor.
5. Refill oil (SAE 10W-30 or SAE 15W-40) to the lower
edge of the oil filling port.

6. Screw in the dipstick.
Checking the air filter
1. Unscrew the screw of the air filter housing.
2. Remove the air filter housing.
3. Clean or replace the dirty filter element.
4. Replace the damaged filter element.
5. Reinstall the air filter.
6. Reinstall the air filter housing.
Cleaning the oil filter
1. Unscrew the oil filter.
2. Clean the oil filter.
3. Replace the damaged oil filter.
4. Reinstall the oil filter.
