Returning for Service
If you have a problem with your SmartView Xtend, call
your service agent. Have the machine nearby.
If the problem cannot be fixed over the phone, send
your SmartView Xtend to the service agent with a letter
describing the problem. If possible, you should use the
original SmartView Xtend packaging to avoid damage in
transit.
When packing up the machine, make sure that:
You lock the reading table in its central position by
tightening the Margin Stops.
Your insurance policy covers the SmartView Xtend.
Any SmartView Xtend part found to be defective
through normal use within the warranty period will be
repaired or replaced free of charge.
You are responsible for freight and insurance charges
when you return the equipment to the service agent.
However, if your equipment is repaired under warranty,
the service agent will cover the return freight charges.
