Warning! Never let go of the trailing rope as it could be difficult to regain control if lost.
Note! Always verify lifting progress by looking at the rope colour threads movement in and out of the device.

B A S I C L I F T I N G - W I T H P O W E R S O U R C E
Note! Always secure any tools to prevent falling objects.
1.
Attach the power source to the extended pinion in the centre of the handwheel.
2.
Secure the machine to eliminate risk of dropping it to the device carabiner or operator with a tool lanyard.
3.
Pull the trailing rope through the first friction loop into the rope groove of the brake housing, around the second friction loop,
insert the rope into the rope clamp and tighten.
4.
Start lifting with the machine and continuously tighten the slack between the locking clam and device.
Note! Depending on machine, if equipped with an anti-torsion function the steps 3, 4 & 5 is mandatory to carry out a safe lifting
procedure. When using a recommended machine by Cresto Group, without anti torsion function, you may lift without following
steps 3, 4 & 5 when utilizing the optional connection sling connected to the rescue rope or device carabiner.

If transition from lifting to descending is required, lock of the device, reverse with the machine until the rope is full loaded
before removing the machine from the pinion.
Warning! When using a power source, be very cautious when lifting a casualty if you are not able to visually see or communicate
with him/her, if he/she would be caught in something during the lift it might lead to person injury or overload of the device. entang-
lement, due to the enhanced risk of further injury.

M A I N T E N A N C E A N D I N S P E C T I O N
The rescue and evacuation equipment is an emergency equipment and must be inspected after it has been used. The equipment
must be service and repacked by a Cresto authorized competent person.
Note! During transport and storage, keep the equipment dark and dry.
Inspection and service of the equipment must be carried out by the manufacturer or a partner whom is authorized by the manufac-
turer and in accordance with the manufacturers guidelines.
If stored, maintained as described and used in normal condition, the expected lifespan of this device is 10 Years. Note: For RESQ
RPX/EPX vacuum sealed, see "Vacuum solution manual" for extended lifetime, inspection intervals and service guidelines.
Note! If the equipment is installed at a workstation and left in place between inspections it must be protected by the RESQ vacuum
solution to ensure protection from environmental conditions.
