4. INSTALLATION
POSITIONING THE STARTER
When using the starter, position it on a horizontal, at and stable
surface.

OPERATING MODE

The starter comes on when you enter test mode, and the display
lights up when any button is pressed or when the output clamps
are connected to the vehicle battery terminals; the display light
automatically switches o when the clamps are disconnected from the
vehicle battery, and also when no button activity is acknowledged for
over 3 minutes. The starter switches o completely when: the clamps
are disconnected, no button activity is acknowledged for over 3
minutes and there is no absorption from the USB ports, jack sockets
and inputs.
4.1 Operating in TEST mode
Measure the vehicle battery charge status, its potential when
started and the charge e ciency of the alternator. To perform the
measurements, connect the clamps to the battery terminals with the
correct polarity.
Select the measurement to be performed by pressing the
button repeatedly.
4.1.1 VEHICLE BATTERY TEST
Measure the voltage at the battery terminals and calculate the charge
status.
Procedure
- Press button repeatedly to select the WET GEL AGM PbCa Li
construction technology and the battery test function
- Connect the red clamp POS. (+) to the battery terminal POS. (+), then
connect the black clamp NEG. (-) to the vehicle chassis or the vehicle
battery terminal NEG. (-) if not previously connected.
- Use button to select the battery voltage
model only).
The measured voltage is indicated on the display

4.1.2 VEHICLE ALTERNATOR CHARGE EFFICIENCY TEST
Measures the vehicle alternator charge e ciency.
Procedure
The vehicle engine does not need to be switched o to perform the
test correctly.
- Press button repeatedly to select the (alternator) charge test
function .
- Connect the red clamp POS. (+) to the battery terminal POS. (+), then
connect the black clamp NEG. (-) to the vehicle chassis or the vehicle
battery terminal NEG. (-) if not previously connected.
- Press button to select the battery voltage
model only); the measurement data acquisition process is indicated
by the symbol .
If the vehicle engine is switched o , the message "Bad" appears on the
display .
- Switch on the engine if not running, taking it to approx. 1500 rpm;
- Switch on all the lights (full headlights, courtesy lights, etc.) and all

4.1.3 VEHICLE BATTERY STARTING CHARGE CAPACITY (CCA)
Measures the starting capacity of the vehicle battery.
Procedure
- Press button
- Make sure that the vehicle or boat to be started is switched o

4.2 STARTING MODE FUNCTION
STARTING mode
