Tools required: Electric drill
Make the pilot hole for the extraction of the glow plug (fig. 12)
using the long cylindrical spiral bit Ø5,5 (M10) included in the kit.
Reference codes: 1952 003 209
Tools required: Electric drill
•
Remove the injector.
•
Assemble the guide block for drilling (ref. 1952 003 243)
(fig. 23) fixing it to the motor using the two screws supplied
with the kit and centre the seat of the injector (fig. 24);
•
Introduce the double bit with handle (ref. 1952 003 213
+ 1952 003 596) (fig. 25) and with an electric drill start
drilling until the bit does not reach the standstill (fig. 26).
In this way you remove the upper part of the glow plug.
•
Assemble the ¼" male with extension (ref. 1952 003 249)
on the tap wrench and begin the manual threading (fig. 27).
•
Use male M10 included in the kit (ref. 1952 003 218) (fig.
28) to renew the thread on which the new glow plug will be
assembled.
•
After completing the thread, use the guide-body
(ref. 1952 003 241) + thread insert ¼" (ref. 1952 003
262) + nut CH30 (ref. 1952 003 264) + Tension rod M12
for removal (ref. 1952 003 263) and start screwing (fig. 29 -
30); go on to remove completely the glow plug (fig. 31).
N.B. Strew the male with some grease to keep the
scraps and avoid that the scraps of the tapping
enter the seat of the glow plug.
